Apple Days! “Heroes Among Us.”
September 11th, 2010 at Heber Olsen Park - River Heights, Utah, 400 South & 600 East.
It’s time once again to get ready for our annual Apple Days celebration! Everyone is encouraged to check out the new Apple Days web site (www.appledays.org) for information on all the activities and events. This year we are upgrading many of our kid’s games and making all inflatables & rides free to all who want to play. Even the pony rides this year are FREE!
Apple Days will begin a little earlier this year with our Movie in the Park showing the Friday night before the Saturday celebration with free popcorn and drinks for all. Then bright and early at 9:00am Saturday morning we will kick off our day long celebration with our 5K Apple Run and annual Dean Ellis Memorial Doubles Tennis Tournament. In the afternoon we will also have the children’s bike race followed by both the Children’s Parade and Apple Days parade.
All of the activities at Heber Olsen Park will be started off with a short Patriotic Program recognizing all those Heroes Among Us that have dedicate their lives to serving as our guardians. (Main Stage, Pavilion)
Finally, be sure to come by the Pavilion between 5:00p and 8:00p for some wonderful food being served again by the Lyon’s Club and some great entertainment on the main stage.
This year's Apple Days will be great fun for the whole family. Don't miss out! |

Trees and Weeds
With all of the rain we’ve had this season the weeds are growing quite nicely. At some point these weeds will dry out. We ask that you please keep them trimmed to a reasonable height this summer and fall, particularly in vacant fields and lots, to prevent fire hazards.
We ask that you keep overhanging trees on or adjacent to your property trimmed along public walks to a minimum height of six feet from the walk to the bottom of the tree canopy. This will allow for safe pedestrian conditions.
Thank you!!
